Steps:
- Change video output on all source components to proper resolution and color range.
- Adjust or disable video “enhancement” circuits in video display.
- Set peak brightness level to the proper setting for the room depending on ambient light level.
- Change brightness setting to display proper amount of detail in dark areas of the picture.
- Change contrast setting to display proper amount of detail in bright areas of the picture.
- Set color temperature to setting closest to 6500K.
- Balance colors at 30% brightness and 80% brightness.
- Adjust gamma curve based on ambient light level.
- Measure color balance across entire greyscale in 10% incements.
